Last year, National Day of Prayer marked the beggining of a movement in Rhode Island. The movement was started in Unity by a set of local pastors meeting together from various churches. Each Pastor had different backgrounds and styles but shared the same passion and dedication for the community they lived in.

A year has now past as we approach the next National Day of Prayer. There is a sense of urgency as never before.. For almost a year people have been gathering to pray. Yet the vision has not spread and infected the churches as once thought. The church is running out of time to get back on it’s feet.. as the next onslaught of waves approach.

Will you allow yourself to be caught against the tide?
Or will you seize this day and stand up for your community?

4 Again He said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord .’5 “Thus says the Lord God to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause breath to enter you that you may come to life.
Ezekiel 37

Haunted by visions of dead men..
Cities destroyed.. Families abandoned.. Children roaming.. Women wearied.. and Men dead.. Over and over the scene plays in my mind..

Dead Men = Dead Families = Dead Communities

So my question is this.. How do you give life back to a community?

Simple… Breathe life into men

Only the power of the Holy Spirit poured out through his word can give life into a dead mans bones. It happened to me, and it may have happend to you. But it is not just good enough to be poured into and revived.. We must learn to stand together with the breath of life given to us… and SHARE that by pouring it into others.

If the Breath of Life you’ve once received, doesn’t give life to anyone else.. then it is just hot air.

“When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are undisturbed.22 “But when someone stronger than he attacks him and overpowers him, he takes away from him all his armor on which he had relied and distributes his plunder. Luke 11

So often we find men bound and enslaved on the floor of their own homes.
Tangled by arrogance, selfishness, idolatry, deception, pornography, alcoholism, violence, and fear. Bearing the chains marred with the flesh and blood of their fathers.

Homes unattended, left open to be ravished by the whims and currents of this world. Pressed on every side, leaving families broken and shattered.

As men lay dead.. lying on the floor of their own home.
Helpless and without influence.

Dead Men = Dead Families = Dead Communities

Tonight was 1Prayer….Did you make it out?
if you did not, how come?
I myself was late because of 3 sick kids…and almost stayed home. It was a tough call, but once they were in bed I was there because I believe God has placed the vision of 1Prayer into our churches as the battleground for our community.

Tonight showcased a new format for all the future 1prayers and it was fantastic.

We had a great time of prayer and God really moved.

Ever wonder if the prayer is doing something?

let me just give you some testimony so you know all this prayer is not in vain.

The networked churches since our last 1prayer have grown in huge leaps and bounds.
We have seen people saved, homeless cared for, men united together, youth groups united, relationships mended and tons and tons of lives turned around and heading towards Christ.

the second part of proof is we have seen many attacks on pastors and those in leadership and who are on the forefront of the unity movement here. That may be the biggest proof that the prayer is working because I will let you in on a hint..

SATAN DOES NOT WANT 1PRAYER TO GET ANY BIGGER THAN THE 107 people we had show up tonight.

–CHURCH….and I am talking to everybody…we all want to see the island change and for God to be glorified….

It starts on the front lines of the battle with PRAYER…

YOU NEED TO COME TO 1PRAYER and be united as the church and stand up for the community, for the broken and for the lost.

BE THE CHURCH….

Next meeting will be for:
NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER
May 6th at 6PM
Rogers High school

I hear it can hold 600 people….We CAN fill that place so lets do it!!!

God bless…
THE UNITY NINJAS
